Richmond Highway Widening Blog
VDOT's plan to widen US Route 1 is called the Richmond Highway Improvements Project. This project widens the highway for three miles from Jeff Todd Way to Napper Road. The widening provides three lanes for traffic in each direction, accommodations for pedestrians and bicycles on each side, and has a center median for future public transit.
